Bridget Beck, Certified Advanced Rolfer
20 Years Rolfing® Experience
Bridget has been in private practice as a body worker since she was certified as a massage therapist in 1984 by the 1000 hour A.M.T.A. approved Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, Florida. She was then certified as a Rolfer by the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado in 1987 with Advanced Certification following in 1995.
As a psychology student in 1975, she read a text book which talked about Rolfing "working on the body to affect emotional change". This was a novel idea and she knew immediately that Rolfing was something important to pursue and learn more about.
After finishing her B.S. in Psychology in 1977, she returned to her fascination with Rolfing and began the prerequisite course work to start the Rolf training.
Bridget's goal is to help others find the freedom, flexibility, and & support in their bodies
that she experiences from Rolfing.
ABOUT ROLFING® STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION
Rolfing is a type of massage therapy involving hands on work to manipulate soft tissue. It is used to realign and balance a person’s body so that it is supported and energized by gravity. Our bodies get out of alignment through daily postural habits, as well as major and minor injuries. Rolfers work to keep an eye on proper spatial relationships of the body, as well as releasing areas of shortened connective tissue.
